What is Pilates?
Pilates is an exercise method that concentrates on strengthening the entire body by using controlled movements. There is an emphasis on core strength and mobility.
What can I expect?
You can expect a high-burn workout that is also low-impact. All classes are full body. Our studio does a modern style of Pilates with a fitness approach - so you can definitely expect a good workout!
Are the classes leveled?
No. Simply because we use the reformer machine. The machine can help make exercises easier or harder as needed. And because our classes are small, we are able to help you make those proper adjustments for the most efficient workout. Always let your teacher know of any health concerns before starting class.
Do I need to bring anything?
Just a good attitude! And maybe grip socks. We don't require them but they are definitely helpful! We also sell them in the studio. Wear comfortable clothes you can move in. No shoes.
How many times should I come?
We would love to see you everyday but we know that's not likely! Once a week should be your minimum commitment if you want to feel results. 2-3 times a week is ideal if you can!
Do I need to be flexible to do Pilates?
Nope, but you will become more flexible over time.
Help! I am on the waitlist. How does this work?
Don't worry! Although we are working to add more classes to free up the waitlist, we know you want specific times. The waitlist DOES move! First, make sure you are on it. If a spot opens before 12 hours of the class start time, you will automatically be added and you will get an email notification letting you know. If it is within 24 hours, an email will go out to the entire waitlist, and first to grab it gets the spot!
Do you offer privates?
Not yet, but we will be soon. Unless you have a major health issue that requires lots of specialized attention, most people should be able to participate in classes in the meantime!
